Random animal stuff

Monty is off to his new home. They came this morning and picked him up. It was very sad to see him go. We've only had him for 7 months but he is such a sweetie it's easy to get attached to him. But I know his new home will be great. They are a couple with 3 almost grown kids so I know he'll get lots of attention. They are also nice, sweet people and I know they will take good care of him. Putting the birds to bed tonight was strange because I got 6 peanuts but there were only 5 birds :( Oh well, I honestly do believe it's what's best for him.

The local pet store had a sale on dog toys over the long weekend. Since Lola loves to destroy them, I went and stocked up. One of them is already in shreds around the backyard. They love fighting over it, playing tug-of-war. Too cute to watch. I took this picture of Lola earlier:

It was that kind of day. Raining on and off and just good for not doing much. When I first looked at this picture I thought I saw some acne. I was wondering if I needed to get some exposed acne treatment after all she does have skin issues, but when I looked at her in real life I realized she was fine. That was just an artifact of the picture.

Okay, time for dinner- Turkey soup, yummmmm....
