It's that time again. This week I'm feeling very nostalgic. We are facing losing Nala, probably before the month is over, and I'm very sad. I went into the archives and got one from happier days. This was taken about 5 years ago when we lived on the beach. These 2 went swimming everyday that was warm enough. Although we didn't know it at the time, that constant swimming kept both Nala and Rocco going much longer then they would have without it. Within 6 months of moving away from there both of them started having problems with arthritis and such. So here they are in younger days. Nala was 7 and Rocco was 9, still not that young.

My heart goes out to you. This is such a wonderful picture of the two friends together.
How sad to lose a dear pet. We had several cats and some died young because of a car accident, some because they were old. I feel very sorry for you. It's as if you lose a
relative. I wish you all the courage and strength to take leave of your doggie.
Oh, I am so sorry about Nala...you are in my thoughts. It looks like she had some very happy days. I love your animal 'crew'!

The dogs look like they're having great fun in the waves. So sorry your friend is nearing the end of her life. Our pets become part of the family, and it's always so difficult to watch them grow old.
I would have been right there swimming every day with them. What lucky dogs!

We lost our Sparky two months ago and still on occassion I catch myself glancing at his empty house half expecting him to pop out.

Wonderful photo of your dogs at play in the water. Molly would love to join them. My heart goes out to you about Nala ... and I'm reminded that the only thing wrong with dogs is they don't live long enough.

AAAH my heart goes out to you as i know just what your going through since i went through it just last friday with our beloved 23 yr old TC It was a long road but what a fighter she was.I will be praying for you all as it is a hard and sad time to come. But gosh the love you gave them and they gave you there is nothing else like it.

It's hard when they start reaching that stage. Our Pyrenees is really showing his age, but we're hoping to give him one more road trip when we go to Idaho in May.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I know too well how you feel. I have lost some great "friends" over the years and it never gets any easier.
