Reflections

The other day I was looking back through my blog at pictures from the first night we had Lola and Axl. What I didn't realize at the time was how scared Axl was. I look at his body language in the pictures I took and I see what I didn't see then. He was nervous and really scared. When I look at his body language now he is so much calmer and confident. It's so good to see that. He was also so skinny when we got him. Soooo skinny. It was painful to look at him. His hips and spine stuck out and were really sharp. I'm guessing that he was starving when they found him but had put a little bit of weight on before we got him. Now he looks fabulous. Still thin but not skinny. He really looks great. Lola on the other hand has a tendency to get a little chunky. Maybe we should look for the best weight loss supplement for her. Just kidding. She gets enough activity and there is no way she would be considered fat. Alright enough about the dogs.
