The puppy that wasn't

About a month or so ago I said we were expecting a puppy. We were waiting to hear of the birth but the people who had the mother don't live that close to us so not hearing didn't really surprise me. The puppies would not have been ready to leave the mom until late June so no rush. Well we heard from the guy the other day, no puppies. Turns out it was a false pregnancy. Bummer. They are going to try on her next heat though and hopefully something will happen. Meanwhile they are giving her really good food and they have her on prenatal vitamins so that she is ready to go when the time comes. So we'll see what happens....
