Weekend shennigans

Yesterday we had some folks over to hang in the pool. It was hot, the hottest day this year at 90F, and the pool is nice so we hung out in the pool. Again, no dogs only people. One friend is so worried how her dog is going to react with Maverick in the house, it's a little crazy. I don't think she agress with some of Mom's training methods. For example, Maverick was running and barking at the fence, which is how we think he got hurt, and we don't want him to do that at all. So the friend is trying to coaxe him away using baby voices and running in the opposite direction and Maverick was having none of it. Mom then started splashing him with pool water every time he barked. He got the idea really quick that barking was a no-no. Like I said, I don't think she agees with Mom's training methods, but all I have to say is look at her dog and look at us. 'Nuff said.

Mom got some training stuff yesterday, she says it's time to start training Maverick. He's a pretty good dog and he's really smart, so Mom thinks training will be pretty easy. We'll see. She got a clicker to use clicker training with Maverick. She could never use it on us, me, Lola, or Axl, because Axl was deathly afraid of the noise of the clicker. So now that none of us are scared of the clicker, she is going to use it for Maverick.

That's it for now. Everyone is up so I have to see if we are going to the park or going for a walk. I'll check in later.
