Menwhile, back on the ranch

Things are improving around here.  Bella has been on her medicine for almost a week now and she is definitely showing signs of improvement.  The prednisone lessened her itching and scratching which had gotten really annoying, but it made her have accidents in the house.  Prednisone makes them hungrier and thirstier and they pee a lot more.  Since her house breaking was not perfect to begin with, this set us back a  bit.  The good news is we are starting to wean her off the prednisone and the accidents are already lessening.  Her skin is clearing up too, there aren't a lot of scaly patches like there were last week.  The ivemectin is obviously working and her coat is starting to fill back in.  All great signs.

I have not taken her to puppy class in 2 weeks because of this. Once I determined that she picked this up from Lola and Axl (and I contacted the breeder and neither her parents or any of the puppies had mange), I decided to keep her out of class until it was under control.  Not only did I think it might be possible to spread it (though I didn't seriously believe that because they have such causal contact), I was more concerned that other owners might not be comfortable having her in class - which I would not blame them.  But now that she is on  the mend, it's back to class next week.

Everyone else is doing great.  When they all play in the backyard it is so funny to watch.  I have recorded some videos with my phone but I would really like to look into some HD camcorders and get some really good video of them.

That's all I got.  It's Good Friday and I have the day off and I think I'm gonna go read.....
