started last night. We did not bring our dogs the first night since it was registration and orientation. During the orientation the teacher was explaining things and I was happy to learn that we have done most things right this time. After 7 dogs I would hope we kind of knew what we were doing, but it's good to hear we do. Many of the things were things she recommended or said was absolutely necessary. For example, putting urination on command. This can be an important thing that most people would not think of. Also, to teach them to go in different places. Dogs who get too used to going in the same place can run into trouble if anything happens to that place. Also, the whole crate thing. While I am not a fan of crating a dog for long periods of time, I understand the necessity of having the dog familiar with the crate. I'm glad we did that and I'm thinking of setting up the crate in her room. That way she can use it as a den if she wishes. Finally, the confining the dog to a small area - ie her room - until she can exhibit proper etiquette in the rest of the house. And for safety reasons. We are, of course, still not doing things perfectly but hey, we are way better than we were with Mana. It will be a good class I think.
We've had quite a bit of rain lately and one thing that happens when it rains is that the birds want to take bird baths. I'm not sure exactly why that is but the rain triggers something in them. I go in their room and there is water everywhere from their bathing in their water bowls. Interesting.
