Birdie Update

I don't talk about the birds much. In a way they are much easier than dogs, they don't need to be walked everyday. But in other ways they are much harder than dogs. Them are much noisier. They are dirtier so need to be cleaned every single day. Their food takes longer to prep because they need fresh food every day. I spend about 30 minutes every morning preparing food, feeding them and changing their water. Then I spend 30-45 minutes every night cleaning their cages and their room. With the dogs I just love on them, walk them for 45 minutes and feed them. Done. Anyway, the birds are all doing well. We got Mr. P his own cage which he seems to like a lot. He seems to be happier, he's talking more anyway. Sherlock appears to be starting to talk. We got him in Feb. 2010 and they said he was about 9 months old then. Since it's almost February again, that would make him 21 months now. Him just beginning to pick up speech is just about right. Most birds generally start to talk around 12-24 months so he's right on track. I'm hoping that he will pick up talking and stop the screaming. Someday maybe. Mr. P has become such a good talker, it's amazing. I think given the right circumstances, he could hold a conversation. Maybe I should get him a blackberry curve so he could talk to someone :)

Clouseau is adjusting nicely. He's getting the routines down and seems to be finding his place in the flock. That is always good. He definitely loves Hubby a whole lot more than he loves me, but that's okay. I don't mind at all. One animal not being attached to me is okay with me :)

Guess that's all I have for now. I have to figure out what I'm doing today. If anything....
