Funny how things happen

I currently have 10 birds. 3 parakeets. 2 cockateils. 3 Indian ringnecks. 1 blue capped Pionus. And a mustach parakeet. Most of them are pretty quiet for birds. The ringnecks talk and squeal but everyone else is pretty quiet. Except for the mustache. That bird is so incredibly noisy. S/He has this screech that s/he repeats for minutes at a time that will drive you absolutely crazy. The people we got him/her from said that they were moving and that's why they needed to get rid of her. They lied. They couldn't take the noise. I have reacted badly sometimes when she really gets going. I have tried ignoring her. Squirting her with water. Losing my mind and yelling. Nothing works. When she gets going there really is no stopping her. So I had reached a point where I seriously considered getting rid of her. I just couldn't take the noise anymore. And wouldn't you know that's when she started quieting down. I'm beginning to think that she is going through some sexual stage. Maybe she's calling for a mate. The last two days have been much better. I of course am not setting my hopes too high. This probably won't last - but it would be nice if it did.

I was checking the stats on this blog the other day and I was looking at the various search terms that brought people here. One was "what is permanent insurance?" Huh??? What the heck does that mean??? And how did that land them here? I've talked about pet insurance before but that's about it... Oh well, who knows.
