Thanks for all your kind words. The vet was concerned about Nala making it through the next 24 hours without a seizure, that would be good. She did. Since all her blood work and tests were unremarkable it's kind of impossible to say what exactly is going on. They've based their diagnosis of brain cancer on the fact that she's 11, has been lethargic and has had no appetite for the past few weeks. The only way to be absolutely positive is with a CAT scan and quite frankly that's a little too expensive for me. Also, if there were some treatment options I'd be more inclined to find the money. But there's nothing that can be done. I could spend the $2000 be told she has brain cancer and sit and wait for the next seizure. Or, I could not spend the money, be told she probably has brain cancer and sit and wait for the next seizure. The outcome is the same. But she made it through the day with no seizures and that is good news.
The vet did give me a syringe full of Valium for her. If she goes into a seizure and it doesn't stop in 30-45 seconds I'm to administer the Valium. That will bring her out of the seizure. It's a rectal injection. This should be fun. In the midst of a seizure I'm supposed to remain calm enough to inject Valium up her butt. Yep. I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully I'll never have to use it.
So that's where Nala is. It's been a pretty rough couple of days for me. Nala had the seizure and then it was over and she moved on with her life. Me?!?! I'm the one that has to deal with the what-ifs and the knowledge of what's most likely to happen. Many, many times I wish I was a dog :)

You're right ... if only we could have the ability to live only in the "now" like our furry canine friends.
You and Nala will stay in my thoughts. All pit bulls have a special place in my heart.
