The birds

Sammy is really making lots of progress. I've been doing clicker training with him and while we haven't gotten very far into it we seem to be making amazing progress. A side benefit is he's getting more confident in himself. Yesterday I was doing some stuff and looked into the room and couldn't find him. Then I found him:

He had climbed to the top of the bamboo shade in his room. Him climbing things is not the greatest idea, but him having the confidence to even try is awesome.

Here he is working his way back down to his cage top. Very resourceful that bird.

Meanwhile Peanut is trying to get off his branches and onto the living room curtains. He's a funny guy. I purchased him some new toys today and he was all excited about them, playing and climbing all over them. It was really cute.

Meanwhile the 'tiels are a little crazy. I put some new toys in their cage and they are all freaked out. Hopefully they'll calm down before bed.

Great pictures of your birds. I used to have a parakeet when I was young...surprisingly affectionate for a creature without fur. He used to love to sit on my shoulder while I was reading comic books. Very nice blog.

Hi, my Dad loves this kind of bird, parrots, macaws, cockatoos etc. Thanks for stopping by my WW post. Please share the giraffes playing leapfrog in your next WW!
