Lennox

Mom was talking about this for a couple of days now. I guess the City Council in Northern Ireland has a ban against pit bulls. Two years ago they took Lennox away from his family because they said he was a pit bull, even though his family had followed the law and registered him as a mix breed. After two years of fighting and trying to save Lennox, they euthanized him on Tuesday. This made Mama cry and get really, really angry. She said those people are liars. They wouldn't let Lennox's family see him before he was killed and they wouldn't give them his body after. Mama said that she thinks Lennox has been dead for a long time. That's the only reason those people could act like that. She thinks they killed Lennox before they were supposed to and they are just trying to protect themselves. I guess there were rescues all over the world who were willing to take Lennox out of Ireland, but those people said no. Probably because Lennox was already dead. Mama is very upset about this. She said if anyone tried to take anyone of us she would do anything to stop it. After this, I'm sure she would never let anyone take us away. What if they did and killed us like they killed Lennox? Mom would be so mad!!! So she said I should write something about Lennox on here. We have to remember what happened to Lennox and make sure that it doesn't happen to any other dogs. BSL - breed specific legislation - is really, really stupid. You can not tell what a dog is going to be like just because of their breed. Our neighbor is a pure bred Malinos. They are supposed to be very smart and make good police dogs. This dog is completely neurotic. He paces so much during the day, he has worn paths in their grass in the backyard. You can not judge a dog just by it's breed. Just like you can't judge a person by their skin color. Everyone is different.
