Today is the annual Kaneohe Christmas parade. It's the largest Christmas parade on this side of the island. It's fun. I like to go watch once in a while and now I live literally a block away, I thought I would walk down this year and take Bella. Sounds like a good idea right? Yeah, Bella thought so too. For awhile. She was digging all the people and kids who wanted to pet her. She was loving it. The motorcycles came by and she didn't care. The first couple of cars and trolleys came by and it was no problem. The Marine Corp. marching band came by and she lost her mind. She does not like bands. As soon as they got close she acted like some stuck charger batteries up her butt and turned the power on. She could not move fast enough to get away. I, of course, ignored her. I did not want to let her think this was acceptable behavior. But as soon as they moved away and she calmed down a bit, I moved further back away from the street. I did not leave as I did not want her to think she had "won", but I did move back so we wouldn't be so close. She still wasn't happy there so again, I waited till she calmed down then moved a little further back. I then sat down and waited for her to relax completely before we headed for home. She wanted to get home but she was okay walking and not pulling me. So, Bella doesn't like parades. Who Knew????
