Puppy Class, the beginning

Last night was the first night of puppy class where we brought the puppies. What an interesting adventure that was. The class is held in a room in a vet's office and there is interesting in itself because the noise level gets somewhat high. There are a number of dogs who barked at first and those started other dogs barking and it got loud. Also, in a room the puppies are all in pretty close proximity to each other and want to play.

Initially I was very proud of Bella. She was not getting crazy like the rest, she was sitting watching them all trying to figure out what they were all getting crazy about. There were a couple she steered well clear of and a couple she wanted to play with. Then we had to sit down. That's when the child lost her mind. She started pulling at the leash, trying to play with everyone and everything around, chewing on my shoes and the leash, it was crazy. All the other puppies were starting to settle down but Bella was acting like she was on crack or something. It was crazy!!!!

Bella was also scratching a lot and she has some dandruff. I'm going to get something to try and stop the dry skin. I don't want to use any medicine yet, I'd rather try some natural stuff first. It's not bad but I think it bothers her. At least she doesn't need blackhead remover at this point. I would like to stop it before it gets real bad. So I'll pick something up today and see if it helps her.

Other than that we have a lot of practice to do this week. We need to work on sit, come, and walking on a loose leash. This should be a fun week.
