Rain and wind

Saturday night the wind around here really kicked up. It was blowing things down and shaking the house and generally making a whole lot of noise. Lola does not like the wind. The only thing I can figure is that she doesn't like the noise it makes outside while she's inside. She woke us up at 2 a.m. Sunday morning wanting to go out. Thinking she had to pee we let her go. When she didn't return in a reasonable amount of time we went and looked. She was sitting in the middle of the lawn facing into the wind. And she was calm for the first time all night. I think she likes being out in it rather than listening to it howl from inside the house. The problem is it was really windy. If she was going to hang outside she should have safety goggles for all the crap being blown around and maybe even some safety gloves to protect her little feet. We walked them Sunday morning and got soaking wet. It poured while we were out there. Yeah. Tonight it's rainy too and we are not walking. Hubby has a bit of a chest cold developing and he doesn't want to push it. So they are stuck at home tonight...poor dogs...
