Caution, ranting ahead
We walk Axl and Lola every night. We are careful not to let them get too close to most people since they are a little intimidating looking. We make sure they are constantly under our control and we clean up after them. All the things that I think are basic common sense and common courtesy. Okay....Well there is a house about a block from where we live and we pass it every night on the walk. They have a dog that is tied up in front of the house. No wait, do not feel bad for this dog. He is only tied up when the owners are gone. As soon as the owners get home they untie him and...wait for it.....let him run loose in the neighborhood. When that dog is loose he comes down the driveway when he sees us walking the dogs and crosses the street. This bothers me on a number of levels. First, I'm walking my dogs here and you let yours run loose and come after my dogs?? That's just wrong. Second, they live near a pretty busy corner. The dog just walks out in the road, at best he'll tie up traffic, at worst he'll get hit. Third, the dog then proceeds to poop on the sidewalk. There is one patch of sidewalk that is covered with dog poop and it's all from this dog. Talk about irresponsible and inconsiderate pet owners. I'm going to report them to our humane society, they have the authority to enforce animal laws here, but all they will do is send them a letter. It's not like they will need to get a Texas Maritime lawyer or anything. It's people like this that give dog owners a bad name. I try to be so responsible and considerate and then these jerks do that. It just pisses me off.
