Nala and Rocco

It's amazing how much I miss those two. They were such a huge part of our lives for so very long and there is just a huge hole where they used to be. I have their ashes sitting side by side under the TV and in a bizarre way it kind of feels like they are still here, or at least they are with me. The vet's office staff is just the greatest. After both of them died they sent us these beautiful greeting cards or actually condolence cards. But the really cool thing was that everyone who knew them signed the card and wrote a little something about them. I've never been to vet's office where the staff really knew the animals. Nala and Rocco loved going there because they really loved the people there. Those cards were so sweet and touching. You know in this day less and less people are stopping to write anything. Now they rely on email and voicemail and text messaging and whatever else. But nothing can replace a nice card. I'm going to keep those cards because there is a lot of meaning there. Nala and Rocco loved the staff and the staff really liked them. I still find myself crying at the most inappropriate moments. I guess that's what happens when a creature lives in your heart.
