Axl likes beer foam. Not beer. Just the foam. He is so cute, whenever my husband pours a beer he comes running to lick the foam. He is a cutie patootie!!!
The baby birds are doing great. I can hear them screaming for food all the time now. They don't scream all the time but when they do I can hear them. They are so big and getting covered in feathers. Momma is spending more time out of the nest box. I'm guessing that's because they are getting bigger and have feathers so she doesn't have to keep them warm as much anymore. Also that nestbox is warm. When I open it and peek in I can feel the heat coming out of there. I'm assuming that's because the babies are now making body heat. They are wicked cute. I've picked them up twice now. They look good. Their eyes are bright and alert. They hold their heads pretty good and they are loud!!! So it appears Momma is doing a fabulous job.
Once these babies leave the nest though I want to close up the nest box. I don't want them to continue to have babies and they will if conditions are right. One condition being having a nest box. So I'm closing that up. I'd rather put them in metal buildings than have them continue to reproduce.
That's all I got. I have 5 days off for the Thanksgiving weekend and I am enjoying it. I'm getting things done though not as quickly as I'd like to. Tomorrow will be a very constructive day.
