Well, I blew that

I totally blew the NaBloPoMo. I was really going to do it for May but I dropped the ball. I have way too many things going on right now.

There is good news though on all animal fronts. Sam, the cockatoo, is adjusting well. He's still nervous and freaks out easy, but his calm periods are becoming longer and longer. Also, he is a toy playing fool. He spends most of his day on the floor of his cage tearing up boxes and paper and playing with toys. It's great. I really thought it would take longer for him to adjust. I know it will take time for him to feel completely comfortable but he is making huge strides. His favorite thing is when I come home from work and he climbs down onto my lap for some loving. It's great!!

And Rocco is responding so well to the prednisone, I can't believe it. He's running around here like a little puppy. I haven't seen him that attentive and engaged in a long time. It's good to see. I know that it's not a cure, but I want him to be comfortable for as long as possible.

And that brings me up to speed in the animal department. This weekend is the Pet Expo. Our parrot club is doing it for the first time in 6 years I think. It will be fun but it's been a lot of work getting it together.
