A post not about Bella

Clearly I talk about Bella all the time. I was looking over this blog and realized that almost all my posts are about Bella - the recent ones anyway. There are other animals in this house and I think it's time to devote a post to them.

Birds - I have lots of them. A month or so ago I picked up 4 cockatiels from a man who couldn't keep them anymore. I wrote about it here. The one with the lump ended up dying. It was weird because she ate really well, in fact when I would feed them she was the first one to the bowl. The day before I found her dead she had been on the bottom of the cage hissing and trying to scare Bella. Then the next morning she was gone. I don't think she suffered, at least I hope not. So now I have the other 3 left. They really aren't tame and I have not put in any effort to change that. I would really like to find homes for them. I've tried a time or two but no luck. Too bad the didn't have something like a free online dating that could match up people looking for pets and people who have pets. That would be awesome. I've tried the Craigslist route but there are so many flakes on that it's really not worth the effort.

Axl and Lola are not happy. We have not walked in probably a month. Between Hubby's hernia and the problems after, my being sick, then last week Hubby worked nights all week, walks were out. But we have vowed that we will start walking them every night again. And that starts tomorrow. Axl gets really sad and depressed and I keep trying to tell him, just a couple more days and we will be back to our regular routine, but he won't listen. We haven't walked them regularly since I started working at Walgreen's in May. 7 months - yikes....no wonder he's depressed. But that's all about to change and he will be happy, happy again.
