What is going on here????

It's getting crazy around here. The little white parakeets we adopted back in September. We put them in with our English Budgie since his mate flew the coop. They seemed to get along just fine so they've been pretty happy. Then last week I noticed there was an egg in the cage. Huh?? Last night I found 4 eggs. Seems we may have babies in a while. Yikes.

Then Ricky has taken to hanging out in Tweety's cage. I was hoping to move the 3 of them into one cage but it looks like they have other ideas. Hmmmm......

Meanwhile in a move that was pure genius, I am helping Axl to calm down. We take them for their walks in the back of the truck and Axl was very anxious about riding in the truck. The other day I started feeding them treats as we rode in the truck and it's making a huge difference in Axl. He is much calmer and beginning to really enjoy riding in the truck. Yea me!!!!!

That's the status of the animals. Everyone is doing fine though they do cost a fortune. I wonder if we could get them jobs in finance to help pay their way. Wouldn't that be nice. There is a bill in Congress that would allow you to deduct up to $3500 of your animal care off your taxes. Would that not be awesome. The other day I was cleaning out some old files and came across all the receipts for Rocco and Nala. In a little over a year I totaled up $6000 in vet care for them. It sure would have been nice to be able to deduct some of that. Anyway, that will never pass because it would be a benefit to me. I believe it is the governments goal to screw me in all ways possible so that pretty much guarantees that it won't pass. Not that I'm paranoid or anything....
