I went to work out on the elliptical this morning and turned on the TV to amuse myself. The TV was on the National Geographic Channel and In The Womb: Dogs was on. That was followed by In The Womb: Cats. If you have not seen these amazing shows you have to!!! All animal lovers will be amazed and astounded by this show. The amazing 4D ultrasound lets you see into the womb of these animals and it will take your breath away.
I don't want to start a debate but by watching these shows it seems to highlight to me that there must be some sort of intelligent design behind life on this planet, but at the same time all mammalian embryos start out the same. That seems to scream evolution on some level. I don't want to start anything, I really don't, everyone is going to believe what they want to believe and I'm not trying to change any one's mind. But if you watch these shows with an open mind I think it really presents an argument for both sides.
In any case, whatever you believe they only show what happens. How similar is your dog to a wolf?? Very!! How similar is your cat to a lion?? Not as similar as you think. Really, check it out you won't be disappointed.

I want to watch those shows! I don't have National Geographic Channel though. HRMPH.
I always wanted to watch those but it makes me too sad because I know that the little lives we see in the womb can represent little human embryos and how many of them do not survive due to IMHO murder (i.e abortion). *sigh*
Even animal abortion makes me ill and sad (yes, vets sometimes have to abort baby animals).
I would love to see the dog one though.
I watched those shows on NATGEO HD and the graphics were amazing! Watching life in the womb was awesome. It inspires and makes you appreciate your children and fur babies.
