Nala, the update

I never updated on Nala's vet visit. In fact, I lost my photo a day thingy. Okay, I'm going back to that today but right now, the good news.

We went to the vet and they did the ultrasound. They found nothing. All the organs in her abdomen are clean. Yea!!! The vet then said that the only other thing to do would be a chest x-ray. Brain tumors tend to metastasize to the lungs. So we did that. Nothing!! Her lungs are clear, her heart looks good, and that is good news. So, what that means exactly, is that the tumor is confined to her brain. There is no evidence of tumors anywhere else so that means the brain tumor didn't come from somewhere and it hasn't spread anywhere else. Of all the possible outcomes, that one is the best!! We don't have to worry about tumors on her liver or kidneys and the problems they can cause. We don't have to worry about her stomach getting involved. It's just her brain so all we have to focus on is controlling the seizures for as long as we can. This is such good news, you have no idea. We also tested her phenobarbital levels and they are good so we are going to keep her on the same dosage. I'm relieved. As I said, of all possible scenarios, this one is the best one. So we will try to keep her happy, healthy and pain free for as long as we can. The same with Rocco. But I will definitely be taking lots and lots of pictures. Plus I need one for my tattoo.....
