He's adjusting

Here's the boy eating some breakfast. Actually, this it is the first time I've seen him pick up some food and hold it. Until now I've only seen him take bites from the food in his bowl. This is a good sign. A) I know he knows how to eat fresh food, and B) he's eating!! As of yet he won't let us pick him up so he hasn't been out of the cage, but the cage is huge, he has lots of stuff to play with, and he's getting used to us. The most important thing is that he feel safe and secure with us and that will just take time. Since he is about 25 years old, it might take a little longer than with a younger bird. But that's okay, we've got time.
